History of the Oak Forest Clann

Where Is Oak Forest? - We in Oak Forest like to think that we live in a city.  Officially we do, but it's a really small city.  And while it's  small, it's as corrupt as any big city you'll see.  Anyway, as is evident by the map below, Oak Forest is located in what the locals like to call "Chicagoland", being that we are a suburb of Chicago, in the great state of Illinois, in the good ol' U.S. of A.

The Story of the Clann . . . Way back in 1993, Sherry and her friend Sandra Ellen went to a local pub to see an old friend of theirs playing with his band, the Bushwackers, who were local heroes. 

While there they met the bass player in the band, a studly young Michael Horan.  Sherry was of course entranced with the hunky Mike, and two years later they were married.

They were married on March 17th, 1995, at Saint Christopher Church in Midlothian.  It was a beautiful Saint Paddy's Day!  The reception was joyous, including a drunken piper and many, many drunken friends.

They traveled and had fun . . .

The Sibling Bond Photos - We're trying to get plenty of these while they'll still sit for them.

The Horan Canines - Spike the Beagle (top left) and Sarah the German Shorthair (top right) have sadly gone to join the choir invisible.  Snoopy the Beagle (bottom left) is alive and kicking, and is now playing big brother to Charlie and Corky (bottom right), two Labrador / Pit Bull mix puppies that we brought into the family in 2003.  Hard to believe those two guys are brothers, but they are.
